The purpose of this statement is to explain how we use the personal information you supply. By registering for any services provided by European Microwave Week (EuMW) by post, fax, telephone, email or this website, or using the European Microwave Week web site generally, you are agreeing for us to collect and use your data as specified within this privacy policy. 

In this privacy policy, 'European Microwave Week', 'we' or 'us' or 'our' refers to the following events and companies:

About European Microwave Week
European Microwave Week is Europe's premier Microwave, RF, Wireless Technology and Radar event. The Week is held once a year in alternating European venues and includes an exhibition, workshops and shortcourses, forums, and three conferences:

  • European Microwave Integrated Circuits Conference (EuMIC)
  • European Microwave Conference (EuMC)
  • European Radar Conference (EuRAD)

The week is owned by EuMA and organised with the assistance of Horizon House Publications Ltd.

Aventri operates registration services relating to the Event on behalf of EUMW and are authorised to act on behalf of EUMW in the exercise of EUMW’s obligations, rights or discretion hereunder, but are not a party to the contract between EUMW and you.   

Your Information
When you ask for information from, or register to attend European Microwave Week, you will be asked to provide information that is required for the purposes set out below. This will include information such as:

  1. Your name and address
  2. Other contact details
  3. Your preferences and other information regarding your needs
  4. Payment information i.e. credit / debit card details for purchased services

How we use your information
We will not disclose your details to third parties unrelated to European Microwave Week however we may use this information in other ways:

  1. To register you with the show
  2. To provide you with services and information about European Microwave Week
  3. To provide associated companies and subsidiaries with customer particulars, or for direct marketing purposes
  4. To analyse in order to improve future events in line with your needs
  5. To contact you about future events that we think may be of interest to you using the following methods:

    - Email

And less frequently
- Telephone
- Mobile messaging
- Fax

In order to protect you from fraud, we may use, disclose or verify information that we obtain from making identity checks for the purposes of fraud prevention and detection.

By requesting information about European Microwave Week or by registering to attend the event, you are agreeing to receive communications from us about our events through the channels mentioned above. Occasionally we may need to contact you for the purpose of market research in order to discuss ways that we might improve the event in line with your needs. This may be done through any of the methods listed above. In addition, we may use your information to manage prize draws, competitions or any other promotion that we advertise. Please note that email broadcasts about EuMW events will be broadcast by Horizon House Publications or Microwave Journal Magazine on behalf of its owner, Horizon House Publications Inc.

How we will store your information
Your data will be stored securely both by our registration servicer, Aventri and by EuMW. We will retain your data only for as long as necessary, for legal or business purposes. Data will still be stored for a maximum of 7 years. Where there has been a financial transaction, HMRC (Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs) stipulates ‘you must keep records for 6 years from the end of the last company financial year they relate to’. Please see https://www.gov.uk for more information. If you have not been involved in a financial transaction, we may remove your records at any time as required. Alternatively, you may opt-out of marketing communications at any point.   

That said, in order to ensure that you continue to stay out of our marketing promotions, we may add you to suppression files that will be stored securely by EuMW.  

Disclosure of your information
We may provide your details to the following, who may use it for the same purposes as set out above:

  1. Our partners and third parties who are affiliated with our events
  2. Agents and third parties who fulfil services on behalf of European Microwave Week
  3. Other organisations for the administration of prize draws, competitions or promotions

We may supply data to reputable companies outside the European Economic region however this will be done with European Data Protection Legislation in mind.

Note that by scanning your badge on a BTAG (badge scanner) or by allowing your badge to be scanned by an exhibitor or sponsor, you will be providing the exhibitor or sponsor with your personal contact data (as disclosed when registering). In doing so, you are consenting to this personal data being transferred and accept that this exhibitor or sponsor may contact you about their products or services. 

Cookies & IP addresses
This website uses cookies. Like most websites, this site uses Google Analytics and Doubleclick  to track user interaction. By using this website and agreeing to this policy, you consent to our use of cookies in accordance with the terms of this policy. A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's hard drive containing information about the user, enabling tracking and targeting of those users.

We may request that you provide further information and/or identification to enable us to process your request. Please note that it may take up to 28 days to action your request.
