VAT Information

The EuMW registration fees are subject to French VAT at 20%. All rates listed in the Programme Book and on the website include VAT. As part of the registration process, each one registering will receive an invoice stating the amount of VAT charged. The respective French VAT number of EuMA reads FR 09810928341.

Is there an exemption from paying VAT?

Each attendee is charged VAT. There is just one exception, which applies to attendees with a French VAT number: If you, your entity or company has a valid French VAT numberthat you communicate to us, an invoice without VAT can be issued and accordingly you have to pay the rate with VAT deducted. However, this cannot be handled by the standard website registration process. Therefore, in this case please contact eumwreg@itnint.com, who will register you manually.

Who can recover VAT and how to do this?

Under certain conditions, taxable persons (i.e., businesses or public/private organizations having a commercial activity) from any country are entitled to recover VAT. However, this cannot be handled simply with vouchers as it is the case, for instance, if a non-EU citizen purchases goods within the EU and obtains a VAT refund at the airport upon departure. Rather, the taxable person needs to file an application with the French tax authorities which requires the involvement of a tax advisor for non-EU citizen and the respective cost. Thus, in many cases, particularly if it is only a single participant per entity, it may not be worth the effort.
