Student Challenge

The third EuMW2010 Student Challenge in Paris is organised in order to bridge the gap between young researchers from academia and industry. This competition is also the way to gather other students with different skills from all over the world and promote active participation and teamwork, essential in all working environments.

During the EuMW2010 Student Challenge period, different interim teams will come into being. Each team comprises a maximum of 3 members with various background. The aim of each team is to present and explain fresh application-oriented concepts of oral presentations and posters contributed to the conferences belonging to EuMW2010. At the end of the competition, each team needs to produce a clear defence of innovative concepts developed in the conference during 5 minutes. A technical jury, composed of eminent members of university or industry will evaluate the presentation and the poster of each team according to different criteria such as originality, content, feasibility and clarity. The winning team receives the EuMW2010 Student Challenge Prize with a value of €1500 sponsored by Thales Nederland. All participants are invited to an evening event in downtown of Paris.

All PhD and Master students registered in any one of the EuMW2010 Conferences are eligible for participation in the Student Challenge.

The organisers kindly thank Thales Nederland for sponsoring the EuMW2010 Student Challenge. For information and registration visit http://challenges.iemn.univ-lille1.fr.
