European Radar ConferenceMunich, 10-12 October 2007The 4th European Radar Conference (EuRAD) will be held from 10-12 October 2007 in Munich, Germany, as part of European Microwave Week. EuRAD is dedicated to a broad range of radar related topics, ranging from multi-modal configurations and associate signal processing methods to radar system design and target and natural environment observation. Over the years, considerable advances have been made in the field of radar technology and its applications. Radar observation finds widespread applications in many military and civilian areas. The objective of the EuRAD conference is to provide an open forum for the presentation and discussion of current advances in radar technology. This comprises associate antenna and RF devices, target tracking and multi-source radar data processing, ground penetrating radars, environmental and security related remote sensing systems and typical hazard prevention or monitoring applications. Also SAR related sensor techniques including emerging applications in the domain of polarimetry, interferometry and differential interferometry are in the focus of this conference. Conference TopicsRadar RF Devices, Hardware and Systems R1 Antenna Systems and Conformal Antennas for Radar Applications Radar Signal Processing and Modelling R10 Advanced Radar Data Processing for Target Tracking, Object Classification, Feature Extraction Applications R16 Automotive Radar (Common topic with EuMC) Conference HighlightsInternational experts will present keynote papers on topics of current importance and on the latest advances. Tailored Short Courses and Workshops will complement the programme. EuMA Radar PrizeThe Eu MA Radar Prize is awarded annually to the author(s) who submitted and presented the paper that best advances the state-of-theart in radar at the European Radar Conference, held during European Microwave Week, in the opinion of the EuRAD Technical Programme Committee and the EuMW Steering Committee. The value of the EuMA Radar Prize, sponsored by Raytheon, is €3,000. EuRAD Young Engineers PrizeThe EuRAD Technical Programme Committee and the EuMW Steering Committee will award the Young Engineer Prize of €2,000 to a young engineer or researcher who has presented an outstanding paper at the EuRAD conference. To be eligible candidates must be (1) aged 30 or younger at the date of the award, (2) the first author of the paper, (3) the presenter of either an oral or poster session. The number of co-authors should not exceed three. Applicants must state the purpose to which the prize will be put. The successful applicant may use part of the prize to fund attendance at the following year’s EuRAD conference. The EuRAD Young Engineer Prize is sponsored by Raytheon. Reduced Fees and Special GrantsReduced fees are implemented for students as well as senior persons aged 65 years or more. The European Microwave Association will also provide up to four student grants consisting of €500 plus the reduced registration fee for EuRAD. Applications should be sent to the EuRAD Chairman by 6 July 2007. The European Microwave Association will also provide a number of grants for delegates coming from NIS countries or Russia. The value of the grants is €500 plus the reduced registration fee for EuRAD. Applications should be sent to the EuMW General Chairman by 6 July 2007. AddressesChairman: Co-Chair: Secretary: |
